Ingredients
- 450g (1lb) fruit
- 75g to 100g granulated sugar
- 175g flour
- 75g butter
- 50g caster sugar
Directions
- Layer fruit (I recommend apples, blackberries or rhubarb, depending on what's in season) with granulated sugar in 2 pint dish
- Sift flour into bowl. Rub butter into flour until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in sugar
- Sprinkle crumble over fruit
- Press down lightly, smooth with knife
- Bake at 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 4 for 45 minutes or until top is lightly brown
